Whole Poland

Saturday was a big day in Poland. In the same time in 13 cities (Białystok, Gdynia, Kraków, Lublin, Łódź, Olsztyn, Poznań, Racibórz, Rumia, Sopot, Warszawa, Wrocław, Zamość) orienteerers organized a promotion: WHOLE POLAND RUNS WITH THE MAP.

It was success. First, because about 1700 person took part in it and I hope they understood what orienteering is. Second, because orienteerers from different part of the country did something very good... TOGETHER!

2010

My training time in 2010 was more or less the same as last two years. Nothing has change, except results. I was able to finish the CISM middle distance 1'02" after Thierry Gueorgiou and be faster than many other good runners. I will try to keep this different in future.

Wroclaw Night O-fight - round 2

Second race of Wroclaw Night O-fight took a place in the Kuzniki estate, where is a lot of similar buildings. I was a course planner and I used a type of butterfly, which I first time meet on CISM 2010 in Kongsberg. This butterfly has four possibilities. I had a lot of mess on the start (intervall 30"), but runners had much more on their ways.

the rest you had to imagine

Before Christmas I did a O-training in a gym for Slask Wroclaw runners. There where two sprint races (interval and handicap start). The course has less than 200m. On the map was ONLY the course, the rest you had to imagine.

Wroclaw Night-O Fight

I don’t like to fix holes, so on this 2,5 mounths gap on my blog I just put maps from this period.

Yesterday, as last winter, we started with Wroclaw Night O-Fight. This time it will be 5 races in the city area. Everywhere you can get by bus or tram. Just finish your job and join us. Start is always in Tuesday’s evening at 18.45.

This time it was a scorelauf race (mass start) with some mandatory legs. The park was small and easy, but 10-15cm of snow made it more difficult. It was hard to see the paths and controls (very small flags size). It was nice to see 77 person on the start, 20 more than last year.
